Spectrum Vocal Band is an acapella formation, combining young and talented singers who are constantly inspired to look for new ways to challenge themselves. The band is created in 2012 and today it consists of Boriyana Yordanova (soprano), Vesela Morova (alto), Daniel Nikolov (tenor), Yanko Yankov (baritone) and Konstantin Beikov (bass). Their creative goal is to produce quality and esthetic music, without any limitations to the genre they are performing – they combine pop, funk, jazz, ethnic and beatbox in five-part vocal harmony. Spectrum is well-known here since they have many concerts in Bulgaria as well as showcasing their talents in the National Radion and Television. Thruout the years, the group has worked with many famous names in the Bulgarian stage such as Theodosii Spassov (kaval), pop singer Orlin Pavlov, Venci Pavlov (trumpet), jazz singer Vasil Petrov, composers Aleksander Bruzicov, Lyubomir Denev, FSB group and the Big Band and The Symphonic Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio as well as many more.
In 2018, the group is chosen to be a warm band for The Manhattan Transfer concert where they get their recognition from their American collogues. The Spectrum Vocal Band admits that they have always admired the legendary group as well as “Swingle Singers”, “Pentatonix” and the Bulgarian Acapella formations “Trayana”, “Folk Scat” who existed in the near past.
Spectrum Vocal Group are showcasing some of their original programs on one of the best forums here in Bulgaria - “International Bansko Jazz Festival”, “Haskovo Jazz Fest”, “Jazz Under the Stars”, “Jazz Festival Yellow Cobblestones”, “Youth Jazz Festival – Dimitrov grad”. The group is also known for their concerts in Serbia.
In 2019, Spectrum Vocal Band released their debut album “Crossing Point” which shines a new light to the Bulgarian Folklore, masterfully combined with original funk sounds. Some of the songs will be performed on the stage of Basnko’s Jazz Festival – it's not a sight to be missed.
